Pete - hi from Darkest Lincolnshire, and thanks for reminding me of Stan's Bermuda gig(s).

I had a copy of a tape of Stan at the Bermuda FC which I believe was given by Garnet to Archie Fisher, who in turn gave a copy to a mutual friend of ours who worked with him at the BBC. So it was at least fourth-generation copy of a tape recording, and not good quality at all - sounded very 'bootleg' indeed, with plenty of audience-noise, but it did give a great flavour of the man working solo in a club setting, and yes, it had the inevitable slap-down of the heckler!

Unfortunately, a house move resulted in its disappearance and, search as I may, I've been unable to find it - looks like it's gone forever, and a sad loss of something pretty unique I guess.

I still regularly perform '45 Years', 'Three Fishers' and 'Lies', and occasionally 'The Field Behind The Plough' - wish I coulld match the power and authority of The Man. A truly great writer, singer and, above all , performer. Gone, but never forgotten.
