I first heard his music the day after he died. I was driving through Canada, listening to Morningside with Peter Gzowski, and he was playing some terrific music. The station kept fading in and out, so I didn't find out who the singer was, nor what the occasion.

Two, three years later, living in Texas, I heard that same music on a folk music program on the radio, and the DJ told the story of Stan Rogers and the flight from Kerrville. The penny dropped - Gzowski, a big fan of Rogers, had been playing the music in tribute to him on his passing.

His work is certainly still popular in Sydney folk clubs & Australian festivals.
