I have been gifted with a Studio 3 interface from Opcode systems. The company went out of business in 1999 and I have been unable to find any schematics or instructions on line.

I intend to record audio into my computer to record spoken word in order to create CD's of my "folk" tales, most of which have been published in my magazine columns.

Is this unit necessary or useful? All of my computers have monaural microphone inputs built in. Do these inputs constitute a to d boards? Will the unit add to the quality of the data recording or the ability to edit it?
