I still think Musical Chairs is a cunning training game designed to make kids learn that there are strict limits to how competitive you get, and to practice taking defeat with good grace. Inside the limits, compete, step over them, and you're penalised. Like any game. Like life.

If it turns into a free fight it's not a game any more. Give that kid a red card, and send him off.

Actually, like Amos and Mbo, I never liked it much. All that stopping and starting the music was irritating. And they always seemed to use crappy music. If you're going to play a stopping and starting game, Grandmother's Footsteps is much more fun. And excellent training in life skills.
