  Una cucaracha pinta                A painted cockroach

  A pasar la temporada.              To pass some time.
  

Does a "red cockroach" have political overtones? Are we talking a Leftist cockroach? Or is this whole verse best rendered, "'My, my, my,' said the spider to the fly?"
