As I sat, sitting, starring at the rain
It reminded me of the many joyous days we have spent
In the sunshine in Cumbria in general
And Keswick and the Derwentwater Fells in particular

Of the many excellent pubs
The delightful meals
The many and varied pints of excellent beer
And the absence of old songs and tunes

Will the next visit surprise us
Hornpies, jigs and reels
A throaty ballad
A chorus with hamony?
