I was at Woodstock, and a year or two later at the even bigger concert at Watkins Glen (Allman Brothers, the Band, the Dead). We thought those crowds were pretty huge, but they weren't even close to the size of some of the gatherings mentioned here.

It's apparent that religion in the third world is a MUCH bigger draw than rock music in the US.
