But none of the candidates have said anything that tells us of real change that will put the U. S. on the track for glory.
Obama says get out of Iraq, but suggests nothing to ameliorate the situation. Talk about the job market, but nothing concrete.
Hillary says reform health care, but Congress will never vote for a system that leashes the insurance companies. She talks a lot about jobs too.
McCain offers only pragmatism.
So the country will muddle along with bandaid solutions.

In Europe, the nations are banding together and seeking common solutions.

Moves toward Nafta and similar cooperative solutions in America have stalled at the starting gate.

China, the growing superpower, is holding trade talks with Taiwan; rhetoric won't interfere with business. Asean nations, Japan and China are making deals, rapidly leaving old isolationist views behind.

Russia is restoring its power and industry; look for it to start making trading alliances. India and Pakistan are logical partners.

Even the Middle East, with growing industry in the Emirates and Iran, is bubbling, but much of the region is beset with ideas surviving from biblical times, and it may be some time before the region settles down.

The United States, trying to control the world, will find itself increasingly isolated. This train rolls straight on, no change in direction, a peoples democracy in charge, not permitting deviation.
