Jim Dixon got it right. Not really "swamp pop" tho, more like pure rock n roll. Just because it was made in Louisiana by a Cajun combo dont make it cajun. A lot of western swing, rock and other stuff were all staple diets of dance hall bands who played whatever the folks wanted. Sadly, Cajun music went into decline a couple of times in its history. Thankfully, it has survived. (despite Swamp Pop :-))
