Which brings us to the next tip...try different types of picks, sizes, shapes, materials, for different sounds. There's a cool multi-pick called the Strum Rose which can sound like more than one guitar playing the same part as several picks actually strum the string in quick succession. It's loud too. Aluminum, various plastics and synthetics, wood, felt, shell, stone, bone, all have different timbres. As with anything, experimentation can surprise.Mooh.
