Jacky and I have been running a Second saturday singing do for the last 30 months and really pleasant evenings they have been,around 20 friends,invitation only,well it is our house.Once invited, stay invited.
We reckon that this is the way forward, pubs are often grotty and un welcoming and only tolerate us at best. Yes I know there are exceptions but I ran a Folk Club for 12 years
We went to a super sing around session near Newark on Trent at the week end,10/10 and you can go in the sweetie box for running this one!!
