went great, beautiful sunny day... on land reclaimed in the 70's for the Algonquin, after a long occupation and protest.... the island is a nice sanctuary, small, between the old EB Eddy Co. on the Quebec side and Parliament Hill a bit downstream... several hundred turned out, from all over.... colourful dancer costumes, elders, regional reps. from the AFN... including Phil Fontaine... peaceful and righteous.... Willie played 'Ballad of Crowfoot' and "Son of the Sun"
and we kicked it right along... auctioned one of his CDs for $60 (his idea)for the cause....we left before the march to the Hill...

Willie looks very much forward to doing a show later on in the summer in Brockville with me and some guy named Murdoch, whom he hasn't seen in a long time...
