youtube is very unlikely to remove content unless the copyright holder draws their attention to it. The copyright holder may be for the video, the performance or the song itself.

The fault if there is a fault is with those hanging on to the old way, of absolute control of copyright material. If you don't like it then vote with your feet and stop supporting those artists. There are plenty of artists moving to creative commons copyright looking for your support.
