Jon...Some of what goes on at the festivals of Durham and Northumberland are good in that way - e.g., performing local pieces out among shoppers, park-walkers, etc., as well as indoors. But, I stand by what I said, those who turned up for the free final-recitals at The Sage, did NOT get a good enough taste of English folk, and I hope for improvement.
