As a former (long-ago) Navy wife, I get the 6-month thing. A little better now that you can stay in touch? I remember waiting for ships to pull into docks to tie up to phone lines, and for the number to spread among the wives... funny story there, I'll come back and tell it later...

Anyway. Stretch out, luxuriate in taking up the WHOLE bed, and keep in touch.
