Wyeside Music Festival 2008
HEREFORD

Now in its fourth year Wyeside, is confirmed as being on Friday 6th and Saturday the 7th June and located on the banks of the River Wye in Hereford. The festival has moved location, slightly upriver to the Hereford Rugby Club Grounds which is a bigger site.


Entertainment will come from over 50 bands on four stages. There will also be a DJ arena, multimedia tent, children's zone, workshops, and more. Friday night is hosted by BBC Hereford & Worcester' Friday Session Introducing. This is a first for Wyeside and will give local groups great exposure. There is a line-up of bands from the two counties including up and coming names such as Sam Isaac, Pencil Toes and The Anomalies.


The Mash Cinema also appears this year featuring Ariake Waveband' with visual support from Triggerset, Audio Dependent and DJ WeePo.


Confirmed for the main stage are Hawkwind, Flykkiller, DJ Dr Alex Patterson, Sketchbeat, The Guns, Kris Dollimore, Voodoo Johnson plus many more - click here for the full details to-date.


The festival is family friendly with a programme of activities geared at children of all ages. The kids area has loads of kids and family fun including; drum workshops, circus skills, craft workshop, Punch and Judy, fair, bouncy castles, face painting, clowns and dance workshop.


The site also has disabled facilities.


The festival opens on Friday at 5pm and goes through till 11pm. The camp site will open on Friday morning and will close on Sunday. On Saturday gates will open at 11am with the official opening taking place at midday on the main stage and will continue until midnight. Camping is available.


Tickets are on sale, costing £20 for an adult, £48 for a family (2 adults & 2 children aged 12-17), child (12-17) £6, under-12s FREE.
