Yes, Chris had a drinking competition with Paul Lowe. I was too intelligent to enter such a nonsense, so I was the referee. Only problem was I was drinking more than the two competitors.

I do know Mr Lowe and I got into the thirties, which is disgraceful behaviour.

I think the side revived in 1975, the first Rushcart was in 1980. as the only Irishman in the side, I was responsible for starting the cricket match played at Alford. English people have no initiative.

Some great nights at Harry Boardman's, some great nights with Gorton Tank, and such memories from the Morris Side. I was about to commit treason and attend the Saddleworth Rushcart this year, just to revive old memories. However if there is a re-union in October, someone let me know, and I shall cross the Irish sea to attend.

Wouldn't miss it.
