As to musically related: Ive had a few people ask my wife where she got "that great song" when they didn't know I'd written it. (I'm a non-performer). A respected Canadian singer-songwriter looked over my website a couple of years ago, and commented "You don't just write songs that rhymne; you write songs that reach out and grab people by the heart". But the one that brought tears to my eyes was when one of our Mud-ladies told me that, as soon as her little niece woke up from her nap, she was going to start teaching her one of my songs.
Non-musically-related: I saw a former fellow student, and within a few minutes he said, "I really like your poem about the waitress in the all-night cafe"; he would have heard it once, about three years before that.
