I suppose it is technically off-subject, but there is the Irish (Co. Tyrone) song,

The Creggan White Hare,

which tells of the hare successfully eluding at least three sets of hunters.

I just got back from three weeks in Ireland where I heard a version with about five additional verses to the version I know. I'll have to find the recording among the scores of songs I recorded, but I'll transcribe the extra verses and post them in a day or two.
