I've never seen this happen, Ted. We have...let me see...six Macs running all the time at home. None of them have done this. Only one is a laptop, though. And as you say, it is a known syndrome with some laptops, and is not known to have a certain cure. It is really embarrassing, and way below the standard of techical responsibility Apple is usually known for.
