I remember coming home from school and saying to my mother that little Johnny who sat in front of me had "greenfly" crawling in his hair. Out came the steel comb! Ouch! I can still feel it, 50 years on! Me and my big mouth.The kids I felt really sorry for were the ones who had ?ringworm? whose heads were shaved and some purple gunge painted on (permanganate of potash?).
