We used the Mudcat as well as another online music forum as a part of our documentation, plus pictures we had taken of ourselves in a lot of other contexts. I compiled all of the pictures and other artifacts that I could find, including a wedding CD that was made for us at the other forum. That, along with the other documentation, such as wedding pictures, bank statements, car registrations, car insurance, utility bills, and things like that, did the trick. I put in way more stuff than I thought they would want to see and, in fact, they only looked at a fraction of what we brought. But I was glad I had all of it. They were persuaded by that and our interview.

Our problem was that they were sitting on the FBI check, it seemed like indefinitely, and we ended up having to get help from a politician whose campaign my father worked on as treasurer few years ago. He didn't pull any strings or anything. He just inquired on our behalf and that seemed to do the trick.
