No birthday cake. No candles, either. I'm the cake baker around here and I didn't have the time (plus it was too damned hot!).

And even leaving two future meals on my plate at Newick's, I was too full to consider dessert Monday evening.

And since I'm not currently employed, there was no workplace B.D. cake either this year.

But I did have a lovely bowl of soupy vanilla icecream topped by peaches from a friend's trees yesterday.
