My tomatoes in the yard are a long way off, but meanwhile, fresh round ones can be purchased at the grocery stores that carry the "on the vine" varieties.

It's BLT season when the yard tomatoes come in ripe. That's when the tomato is a crucial ingredient, but it must be local or home grown to taste right.
