Creative activity is time consuming and obviously useless? Seems the good Doctor Miller never watched MacGyver, eh? ;)

My favorite summation of the biological necessity was taken from the movie 'JAWS', the sharks 'eat, swim and make little sharks'. For someting on the same level as your basic Carcharodon carcharias, bigger is definately better.

I read a similar study about humans, actually, the general consensus being that the taller, deeper-voiced males tend to snag the females. The data is good, but they fail to work in the 'Mickey Rooney' factor.

For humans, and their delicate grasp on conscious thought, it's a toss-up. A lot of times we DON'T pay attention to our basic biologic drives and internal rhythms as we should. More's the pity. But we also don't often expand our creative capabilities to the reach of what biology has given us. To me, that's the greater crime.

The folk musican thing begs an intirely different arguement, one suited more to the psychological than the biological. And there are about as many different attractions as there are women to be attracted, I'm sure. However, the creative angle would insure that the female would be provided for in basic necessity, as well as being surrounded by beauty, and as a card carrying member of the double-x branch of chromosomal division, I can't say it sounds like a bad idea.
