What a loss to the young lad. One got the sense, watching him get that grin on his face, and rooting for the Bills, Red Sox, that he was a giant figure in his son's life. I think that is what endeared him to me. He was a giant figure, loved the things that blue collar folks love, and able to go toe to toe with the giant figures on the world stage and ask the questions that needed asking. One of the things I loved was how he would always make it clear that someone had dodged the question, and then moved on. He made sure the viewer understood the question had been dodged, and then moved to the next issue.

I will miss him sorely.
