Thread Name: Folklore: All About the Claddagh Ring
Subject: RE: Help: Right way to wear a claddagh ring?
If wearing it 'heart in' signifies attachment... and if the ring should only ever be received as a gift... then when would anyone ever wear it heart-out?

A parting (or dumping) gift from an ex? ("You might be needing this...")

A gift from a particularly liberal parent? ("You're a big girl now, get yourself out there!")

A gift from a *particularly* liberal lover? ("I wear mine heart-out, look, and actually there's a reason for that...")

Perhaps I'm too unimaginative. Or not unimaginative enough...
