I wish I didn't believe in hell, or purgatory either. I plain do not like torture and I don't know what else to call it. I have no problems at all with the death penalty under extreme circumstances. I would do brain surgery on the most violent people to make them docile or do other nonreversible biological interventions. But I would never torture Adolph Hitler, Pol Pot, anyone, forever and ever.
