well, I have only met two arrogant little sh**s and hundreds of well balanced, good humoured, and excellent teens and twenty somethings. "The Young'Uns" probably stand out as performers and as people but by and large the vast majority, the overwhelming majority, are personable and a joy to be around, if there is anything it aint a generational thing. Sadly the arrogant ***** I was refering to, one is a graduate of the Newcastle course and one is currently on the said course. When I went to university, in the inaugral lecture we were told we were the cream of what was left after oxbridge had taken their quota " Welcome to York, commiserations for not getting into oxbridge" was the exact quote. I didn't believe that for a moment. Anyway the law of averages would say that the newcastle course would reflect the population as a whole and maybe it isn't the course that encourages the behavior.
