Thanks, Neil. It does sound like a rich area for old-time and bluegrass music. I need to dust off the few Doc Watson tunes I once knew. Sounds to me like an area where music is a way of life for the people who live there. I'm finding myself wishing I had more than four days or so to experience it.

I guess that could be said of a lot of people on the 'Cat, too -- that music is just a way of life. I went to a party not too long ago that didn't have live music and it was downright weird. I'm so used to social occasions being jams or concerts, a party without musicians is just confusing.
