When I was about 14, some friends invited me to go along with them to a folk club in Exeter. It was good because the club would let us in, unlike the local pubs and bars. There was a young man at the club playing the fiddle and singing 'Sir Patrick Spens'. I've been hooked on folk music ever since. The performer's name?
