Update: We sent the package off to Homeland Security. I printed out all of my entries on my blog but none of the readers' responses. I also made up a photo album of our life to date. Most of the pictures are candid shots of us enjoying life in the islands and Japan. There are shots of her parents visiting us and us visiting them. And I stuck in some of the papers we have regarding our house including the Warranty Deed, and several of the pages that were notarized.

I also wrote a cover letter explaining what was there and why certain stuff is not there. My first draft included an unexpurgated paragraph of what I thought of them. The final draft had been expurgated to the point of milk toast. I hope it does the trick.
