I don't really see why Chongo should even respond to this sort of wild innuendo.

He was talking to me today about starting up a website to answer all these false allegations and disprove them one by one. He wanted to call it "The Straight Dope". I said to him, "Chongo, that expression 'dope' has taken on a different connotation since the 40's, and I think that people might misinterpret it and think you were talking about marijuana or something. You also have to stop calling women 'dames' all the time. It doesn't go over well."

He looked surprised. "Really? Hell, it goes over fine among the people I hang out with. It's a term of respect. I'd call 'em 'chippies' or 'pro skirts' if I didn't respect 'em."
