I have just been reading this thread re Maeve. I am Vera Rickard who worked in First Aid S. I'm shocked to hear that Maeve died and in that way. I was a member of the Emerald Girls Pipe Band and I believe she joined it at one time, before my time. My sisters knew her. I remember her from a ballad programme on RTE when she sang a song called 'Arbour Hill'. I wrote to ask for the words but she wrote back - I still have the letter - to say that the words were copyright but 'it's on my new record'.
I know that your home in Brunswick Street was a hive of music when Maeve lived there.
