I always just put tomatoes in the ground and let them grow--what do you do to sucker them? How many branches or do you pinch of flowers, what? I got some last ones left on the table tomatoes this year (an odd mix, and not the ones I like best) and I have an odd shaggy bunch out there now. Some are really bushy, others are leggy. One of my squash (I only have a few) just keeled over. It's too close to the house, I'll avoid planting to near the wall next year. I have a new bed with lots of air and sun that I'll be working on in the fall for next spring. Maybe get a couple of fall things in for this year, who knows.
