Around these parts anyway I hear it pronounced fya-DOG, with a long O so it rhymes with "vogue" and "brogue".

Jim - am I right in thinking that "stáin" would rhyme with "Táin" and other similarly-spelled words, i.e. be pronounced as stoyne?
