My two are definitely vocal. 0430hrs every morning I get the wake up "Meow" which is Mikey wanting me to turn on the faucet in the bathroom so he can have a drink. Damned cat hates to drink out of a bowl.

If I holler "Sheldon?" and I get a loud "meow" back, I know he's getting into something he shouldn't be. :-)
