My only wish is that there were additional sea music festivals to attend or participate in here in the States, at the level that Mystic is able to produce. The National Maritime Museum in San Francisco usually holds a September Sea Music Festival but that Festival while well produced operates at a much smaller scale. There are various Tall-Ship Festivals but traditional sea music is generally relegated to the margins, in favor of rock and brass bands.

In Maine some of us have been building sea music concert program at the Maine Maritime Museum but it's still quite modest. Sinsull is coordinating the first Maritime Festival in South Portland in cooperation with the Portland Harbor Museum, and our Press Room friends in New Hampshire have been working up the Portsmouth Maritime Festival with slow but consistent success for years.
