Subject: RE: BS: My Oatmeal Exploded
For me, the dairy industry is a crock. As distinct from a churn.

Ah well, to each their own. Lovely Jerseys, chewing their cud, producing milk that is 30% butterfat, were favoured companions when I was young; how I wished (then, not now) that I could clear my nose by poking my tongue right up each nostril, as those Jerseys did.

And I worked the churn to make great butter, although it ached my arms.

And I don't think I'll voluntarily become a vegetarian while a roast leg of two-tooth, impregnated with garlic and rosemary is still available, along with baked onions, potatoes, pumpkin, carrots and parsnip. Being an omnivore is great!

Larger herbivores aren't entirely vegetarians, of course. And swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor) are recorded, in the wild, as seeking out dead flesh to consume; friends of mine thought the swampy's meat eating might have been predicted from the different dentition they had from all the other macropods.

Cheers, Rowan
