Obviously, we'll see. But my guess is that if he keeps Gramm as a top economic advisor, McCain will have to explain to quite a few audiences that he does not share Gramm's perspective on this.   And Obama can use it as a "red meat" line for quite a while.

But perhaps there will be room under Rig's "bus" for both Gramm and Charlie Black--with Charlie's noting about how useful a terror attack on the US would be for McCain. Charlie must be the only person in the US hoping for such an attack-- even McCain himself is not doing so.
