Actually, I was pointing out that McCain distanced himself from Gramm immediately after the comments were made known to him. That way he would not have to revisit the issue.
                It seems to me as though Obama painted himself into a corner by dealing with the Wright problem the way he did.

                After thinking about it, it seems to me like a McCain personality is better able to deal with this kind of an issue than an Obama personality is, but I'm not trying to make a case that one or the other would make a better president based on those qualities.
