Yes, kelt. If people would only behave like those in the room were really sitting in front of them then I think it would be much much better. I have labeled the supposedly witty comments Keyboard Tourette's Syndrome (KTS). It occurs both in the threads and in hearme, and I find it to be a real pain.

One additional suggestion is that if a singer wants feedback on their song, or how to improve they should mention it. If I'm practicing a song before I try it out in a 3-D venue for example I would ask for comments/suggestions. Otherwise, unless you know the person, treat them with the respect they deserve. If you want to be smart send a private comment via the personal messages or ICQ.

Likewise, if someone is singing too much, or not enough, or is exhibiting immature behavior a deluge of private messages should correct the problem. This takes it out of the public attack/defense escalation.
