Hello workers of the world. I will be instituting some new guidelines on HearMe, as of NOW.
--Rule #1--Upon entering, you will be given a numeric designation. The numbers will be assigned on a "who came first" basis. If you enter the room first, then you will be number 1. If you were the fifth person to come in, you are number 5. The numbers will be called in order, when your number is up, you must sing within 30 seconds of your name being called, otherwise, your turn will be forfeir and will move to the next number.
--Rule #2--Each person may sing up to, but not exceeding, 5 songs within a given session.
--Rule #3--The textchat will be used for honest, candid, and frank reviews of the music performed. There will be no extraneous material in the textchat. Any one violing this rule will be forcibly dumped from the room. This is a chatroom after all, and therefor chat has no place.
--Rule #4--Each person's repetoire must not exceed 12 songs. Anyone found to have performed more than 12 different songs over a given course of time will be forcibly dumped from the room.
--Rule #5--HearMe is , contrary to popular opinion, not a place for entertainment. It is a tool to practice music on live humans before you perform in realtime public. The questions will remain academic in nature, and the replies will be objective and terse.
--Rule #6--If it seems that a certain person has performed more over the course of time than others, this will not be attributed to popularity, but to selfishness and self-promotion.
--Rule #7--Any talking over the microphone line is prohibited. Only live music will be played. Anyone found to be using tapes, CDs, minidisk, 8-tracks, phonograph records or answering machines will be forcible dumped from the room.
Thank you for accepting my new rules. Follow them, and we will unite the world. Disobey, and you will face my Red Army.Sincerely,
V.I. Lenin
