I actually don't write much - usually just one-verse sillty things like:

For two years now I've tried to grow a lawn that's lush and green
But though I tried, my grass just died 'till only sand was seen
But there's something new this year to view, if you know what I mean
Oh the crabgrass looks like hell, but it's growing
