Bringing it onto a (nearly) musical note we used to do actions to 'The Wild Mountain Thyme' at our club. The line 'Will ye go. lassie, go?' was punctuated on the 'go' by the placing of the left hand into the crook of the right elbow and waving the right fist up and down. Know the gesture I mean? You know, the builders one! Anyway - Fell by the wayside now - No longer acceptable:-( Replaced by pointing away at the 'go' instead. Oddly enough 'lassie' being mimed by tracing a figure 8 figure with the hands is still OK! And I'll not tell you what was done with 'If your true love she won't come...'
