so, Grace...YOU are now the standard by which we judge 'old'? *grin*

I KNOW amplified music is both common & popular...and I KNOW some of our regular Getaway attendees are 'eclectic' as well as electric. I just keep plugging for un-plugging in a few venues where 'trad' is the major historical interest. There are lots & lots of places for amplified stuff, but SO few where we can be relatively free of it.

I am not sure why 'louder' 'faster' and 'heavier' seem to be required to avoid boredom for some...but I have heard 'intensity' produced just fine with acoustic blues.

It's hard walking the line between sounding like I'm trying to mess with folks innocent fun and just wanting to avoid heading down a path where we change too much.

I'll figger out how to hide if it gets overwhelming..... ☺
