Like Murray Mac., I drink carbonated water.

Our local (Northants) tap water tastes nasty to me. I served my apprenticeship on Southport tap water, among the hardest water in the country. Like MMc, I have yet to come across fizzy water from the tap.

My colleagues buy still bottled water. When the bottle is empty, I fill it with tap water that's been through one of they carbon filters. Always I label this bottle "Tap Watter" [sic].

There was a smart-arse placement student who queried "Watter ? Watter ?!".

I took great delight in saying "Aye, lad, tha knows - t' wet stuff as comes from t' tap".
