I heard on the local all news station that California will be the first state to ban the use of trans-fats in restaurants and bakeries by 2010 and 2011. Done deal! The damn state can't pass a budget, looks to raise taxes and usage fees (taxes) every chance it gets, can't educate our kids…but they can ban trans-fats. Big whoop! Also, a termed out state senator is trying for a state wide ban on incandescent light bulbs and plastic grocery bags.

Yeah, that's why we sent them to Sacramento. No wonder I don't vote very often for liberals or progressives. I think they feel that since they can't get important things done, they need to do 'something', even if it makes them (legislators) look stupid.
