Here is another extremely useful little program for manipulating text.
Columnizer (freeware). One of the things is will do is do various operations on case. (Not as quickly as the earlier one I noted, but if you are working with a longer file, it can save you MUCH effort.)

It will do so many tricks I can't even list them.

It takes a bit of getting used to the interface, (you have to 'mouse over' the menu), but if you type, edit and create columns and need to number lines...etc., it is amazing.
