I've been testing it today against Google with various rather specific work-related scientific searches and it has been yielding more useful results than Google.

On some random searches it sometimes did better than, sometimes worse than Google.

I prefer the way search results are listed to Google's and the integration of images into the search results.

On another comparison site (on a search for an author) it apparently produced more "academic" type results while Google produced more "product" type results, e.g. Amazon hits.

Overall, Cuil seems quite good but they will probably need to sort some bugs and anomalies out before it can begin to rival Google.

But, still, it's only the first day of operation. I'll be continuing to use it beside Google.
